The Council of Inspirators – the Foundation’s advisory board – is the primary consultative body for the Dekeyser & Friends Foundation, and is composed of an international panel of eminent experts who share the Foundation’s values and have agreed to counsel and mentor the Foundation Management as well as the Board of Directors. Their abilities, experience, and knowledge reflect the areas the Foundation wants to develop and foster through its activities. As the Foundation wants to spread inspiration, the Council of Inspirators is comprised of inspiring individuals that support the Foundation to fulfill its mission.

 

Daniel Borer

Dr. Daniel Borer is a Swiss general practitioner. Next to his work as a doctor in various capacities, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Rolex and is involved in many global business ventures including his involvement in the company DEDON. Daniel is father of three children and lives in Switzerland.

Scott Collins

Scott Collins is Managing Director of Summit Partners. A graduate of Harvard Law School he worked as a consultant with McKinsey & Company and served in a variety of U.S. Federal Government positions before joining Summit Partners. He is a founding trustee of the Private Equity Foundation.

Mustafa Erdoğan

Mustafa Erdoğan is the General Art Director of Fire of Anatolia, which is one of the biggest dance groups in the world. He established the Aspendos Arena for cultural (dance) events, founded an Art Academy and choreographed the shows "Fire of Anatolia - Evolution", "Dawool" and "Troy" performing all around the world. Mustafa was a D&F Friend 2009.

Hansi Flick

Hansi Flick is a four time German soccer champion, playing amongst others for Bayern Munich, who now serves as the assistant coach of the German national soccer team, accounting for successes such as the runner-up in the European Championship 2008.

Daniela und Philippe Frutiger

The couple runs hotels in Switzerland and has already received the Swiss Hotel Manager of the Year Award more than once. Before getting involved in the hospitality field, they travelled the world, surfing the shores of Australia. Daniela and Philippe live with their children in Ascona.

Jens Lehmann

Jens Lehman has played for Germany over 60 times as goalkeeper, including three nominations for world cup teams. His club career includes Schalke 04, A.C. Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and lately VfB Stuttgart. Besides his football career he is active in several charities including being member of the board for the Stiftung Jugendfussball and serving as ambassador for the foundation Power-Child Campus South Africa. He lives together with his wife Conny and their three children in Germany.

Stefan Linder

Stefan Linder is the CEO of the Swiss Economic Forum, the largest German speaking conference in Switzerland. Before starting the SEF, Stefan headed the Marketing department of a multinational company after gaining degrees from Bern and Basel Universities as well as the Kellogg business school.

Kalypso Nicolaidis

Prof. Nicolaidis is Professor of International Relations and Director of the European Studies Centre at Oxford University. A member of the EU's Group of Wise Men, she thaught at Harvard, Science Po and ENA among others. Prof Nicolaidis has actively been involved in policy work with the EU, the OECD, the Greek government and others.

Adolf Ogi

President Adolf Ogi was a member of the Swiss Federal Government from 1987 to 2000 serving twice as President of the Confederation in 1993 and 2000. Thereafter, from 2001 to 2007 he acted as UN Special Advisor to Kofi Annan and Ban Ki Moon on Sport for Development and Peace.  

Christoph Poppen

Christoph Poppen is Principal Conductor of the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and is a regular guest conductor in concert halls around the world. One focus of his work lies on contemporary music. He is also professor for Violin and Chamber Music at the "Hochschule für Musik und Theater" in Munich.

Richard H. Shriver

Richard H Shriver served both in the US Department of Treasury and Defense. He started several enterprises and headed large cooperations. Also, he functioned as Provost of the European College of Liberal Arts in Berlin and currently lives and teaches in the US.

Matteo Thun

Mattheo Thun is head of Mattheo Thun & Partners in Milan. He was one of the founders of the Memphis Group and has since won countless awards, including the prestigeous Compasso d`Oro, for his architecture and design works.

Markus Wasmeier

Markus Wasmeier is a former Olympic champion in alpine skiing winning both the Giant Slalom and the Super-G of Lillehammer in 1994. Since ending his career, he works as a TV commentator as well as founded the "Markus Wasmeier Bauernhof" museum. Markus acted as the first ever D&F Friend in 2009
