What we aim to do

The Dekeyser & Friends Foundation wants to create the space for young people from different cultures and backgrounds to have unique experiences, meet inspiring people and gain inspiration, optimism and courage for their own life journey.

We hope to create a movement that allows experienced leaders to pass on their knowledge and passion to young people from around the world. We hope to motivate entrepreneurs, artists, sportsmen, scientists, and educators to propose projects – enter into a dialogue and exchange – which not only inspires young people to develop themselves but also motivates them to take on responsibility for their social environment.

We hope to help young people worldwide to take on the challenges of today’s world by optimistically and jointly seeking their dreams.

We aim to live but also to critically discuss values and abilities such as friendship, tolerance, global responsibility, courage, communication, team work, entrepreneurship and optimism.

How we aim to develop

Over the next year, the foundation will organize the first projects with Friends from different areas and countries. The foundation will initiate these first projects, thereby highlighting the flexibility of the D&F project structure. By communicating these projects, the aim is to attract many Fellows as well as to motivate more Friends to propose project ideas. For this program, the foundation will only use its own financial resources.

Over the course of the next three years, the foundation will try to grow its yearly capacity to host and organize projects, attract more Friends and broaden its spectrum. The foundation will optimize the quality of the D&F Academy and its support of Fellows and Friends before, during and after the projects. The foundation will attempt to motivate many experienced individuals to enter the dialogue with young people.

Over the next ten years, the foundation aims to become a platform that – based upon its project structure and academy – hosts a range of projects every year in the fields of development, culture, sports and start-ups. For this cause, the foundation aims to become a known institution for the described encounters.
