Mustafa Erdoğan’s project

Fellows of the Dekeyser & Friends Foundation will join the „Fire of Anatolia“ ensemble from October through December 2009 and perform in front of several thousand people.

I think the project will be an unforgettable experience – because the guest dancers will not only be part of a unique show but also become part of our great family. This is how we think of ourselves. 

„Fire of Anatolia“ is a ‚world project’ as I call it. Starting from Anatolia, it expands all around the world. More than 200 artists belong to our ensemble by now. Discipline as well as hard physical work are the basis for our art. I always tell our dancers: if you want to perform you should not consider this work but a lifestyle. 

I want that the Fellows are curious and come with cordiality – with open hearts to share our passion for the project. We are not a school, which teaches everything that is needed. We would like both sides to make new experiences – we too want to learn from the Fellows. Our energy is recharged again and again by the moment at the end of each show when the curtain goes up and the cheers of the crowd greet us. This moment gives us strength and inspiration.“
